Kaiser Permanente, the Golden State Warriors and Playworks joined together to visit a California elementary school for a Get Fit Time-Out event focusing on mindfulness, physical activity and meaningful play. At the event, the Warrior’s NBA MVP Steph Curry spoke about the importance of being present in the moment.
“Healthy kids are better learners,” said Loel Solomon, vice president of Community Health for Kaiser Permanente. “By expanding our partnership with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation we will help more of our schools make powerful, sustainable changes, resulting in a healthier school staff, and healthier students ready to learn."
