National Healthy Schools Collaborative

A comprehensive list of events and materials designed to help provide parents, educators, school staff, pediatricians, administrators and/or more with helpful information for the 2023-2024 school year.

The National Healthy Schools Collaborative (NHSC) is a collective impact group of well-established, nationally recognized organizations working in health and education. The NHSC believes that health is an essential precondition for teaching and learning. Together, we are working to promote cross-sector collaboration and alignment on a simple but powerful mission:

To coordinate and accelerate equitable funding, policy, and practices for health in education so that every school succeeds, every educator excels, and every child thrives.

The NHSC seeks to transform K-12 education by expanding and innovating policies and practices across all areas of health through the Ten-Year Roadmap for Healthy Schools. The Roadmap includes recommendations to integrate health and education systems to improve outcomes in both. There is room for action and implementation for a wide variety of stakeholders, including policymakers, organizations, and educators at the federal, state, and local levels. The Ten-Year Roadmap for Healthy Schools is was published in June of 2022. We look forward to working alongside you to support integrated health and wellness in schools.
