The U.S. Department of Agriculture recently launched a Recipe Box, a new web resource that provides access to quick, delicious, cost-effective recipes as well as healthy nutrition information, all in one location. The Recipe Box consolidates a number of  offerings from the USDA’s Food Nutrition and Consumer Services agencies, Food and Nutrition Service, and the Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion.

Hundreds of low-cost recipes are available on the site, plus state-of-the-art nutrition guidance – including a host of kid-friendly recipe ideas developed during the First Lady’s Let’s Move! Recipes for Healthy Kids Challenge.

The Recipe Box is a great tool for parents, school cafeteria planners, and dieticians to use in supporting healthier eating in our schools and homes.
